We collect the following types of information when you use the Hatagi platform:

Account Information: Name, email address, password, profile photo, and payment details when you register as a student, guru, or studio.

Camera & Microphone: The Hatagi app requests access to your device's camera and microphone solely to enable live class streaming and video sessions. We do not record, store, or transmit camera or microphone data outside of active live sessions.

Usage Data: Pages visited, classes attended, session duration, and interaction logs to improve the platform experience.

Device Information: Device type, operating system, app version, and push notification tokens for app functionality.

Payment Information: Transactions are processed securely via Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Hatagi platform and mobile app
• Facilitate live streaming sessions between students and gurus
• Process payments and payouts through Stripe
• Send booking confirmations, class reminders, and platform notifications
• Respond to support requests and inquiries
• Detect and prevent fraud or unauthorized access
• Comply with applicable legal obligations

Hatagi uses your device camera and microphone exclusively for:

• Live class streaming: Transmitting your video/audio feed during active sessions you have joined or are hosting
• Private 1-on-1 sessions: Enabling real-time video communication between student and guru

We do not access your camera or microphone outside of active sessions. You can revoke these permissions at any time through your device settings. Revoking permissions will prevent you from participating in live video sessions.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

Service Providers: Stripe (payments), Firebase (notifications and authentication), cloud hosting providers — only as necessary to operate the platform.

Other Users: Your display name and profile photo are visible to other users during live sessions. Gurus can see the names of enrolled students.

Legal Requirements: We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Some data may be retained for legal compliance or fraud prevention purposes for up to 7 years after account closure.

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

• HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
• Encrypted storage for sensitive account data
• Secure payment processing via PCI-DSS compliant Stripe infrastructure
• Access controls limiting employee access to personal data

No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong password and keep your credentials confidential.

Hatagi is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
• Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data
• Portability: Receive your data in a portable format
• Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time
